Travels in Europe

Walking through Rome

Walking through Rome

Walking through Rome was busy to say the least.  I have to back track one day and show you a picture that I took when we first arrived and took a walk after being in the car all day and the train.  Scotland is my heart and I saw this as we walked.

After we left the Vatican, we walked through the busy streets and I can only imagine how busy they are during the peak tourist times!  They were full of tours, people, locals, cars, food, people selling their wares…oh this is a typical crosswalk in Rome….

Just a few videos passing through Rome.  We stood next to the Tiber River!  Amazing.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiber

There was a lot of traffic and people, but we were lucky enough to enjoy the sights at a slower pace than if tons of people would have been there.  I can imagine it in all of its glory, full and flowing in to the Tyrrhenian Sea.  Lots to read about the  Tiber River.

↑↑↑ This a link to a tour company, check it out, this would be a great way to see the river!!!!  ↑↑↑

I wish we would have had time for a tour, but we did get to see the river and take some pictures.

When in Rome, take the time to see this historic river and read all you can on its history.  I believe a good traveler also learns the history of the places they visit.  I wish we would have had a bit more time, but I feel so lucky to have been able to experience this!

As always, comments or corrections are appreciated… and see you at

The Pantheon!!!

Ciao,

Sheri
