Scotland 2017 / Travels in the United Kingdom

The Mesmerizing Fairy Pools…

Mesmerizing.  Magical.  Incredible.  Breathtaking.

All of these words come to mind when I think of Scotland, but when I went to the Isle of Skye for the first time in 2016 I was blown away at the sheer beauty of the pools.

Lucky lucky me, I was able to return in 2017.  What was so awesome was the first time I went it was May so the weather was actually warm the day I went.  This time, I went in October and right on our tail was Hurricane Maria, so the weather was especially different.  Matter of fact, Paula and I had to stay in our hotel a whole day due to the weather.  (not this day, however).

Many people have written about the Fairy Pools.  Photos, blogs, posts, but until you go there and experience it yourself, you just quite can’t understand it 100%.  When I went in 2016, I took an unexpected dip into one of the pools, but this time, I steered clear of the very, very cold water.  So clear and beautiful.

The Isle of Skye is just one of the many amazing placed in Scotland to visit, but please, please take care when visiting here.  These sites such as the pools see thousands of visitors every year and just like every other place of beauty, we must take care to leave it just as we found it.  Paula and I had an amazing time here.

Please, if you come here, show respect and enjoy the incredible beauty nature has bestowed upon us to enjoy.

Ooh, I love your blog, Sheri! And what a great video. I feel like I’ve been out romping in the fresh air, even though it was actually just a short turn in the garden. Thanks for this post.
